A LEADER WHO LISTENS
WHY AM I RUNNING?
Because I love our community, and I love to serve. As a parent who has been actively involved in all aspects of my children's education over the last 15 years, including being a consistent volunteer and advocate, I am running for school board because my voice, and the voices of other parents, teachers and district staff are often not being heard. I want to change that.
I will listen to the needs of our community, always putting our students and their academic achievement first. I will listen to the ideas, needs or frustrations of our teachers and staff to make sure that they have the support and freedom required to best educate all students. I will wholeheartedly work together with board members, superintendent, and staff to insure our schools are places where our students flourish.
- ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT: A school board must affect policy and governance that will ensure a safe and positive learning environment so that all students can reach their full potential.
- TEACHERS & STAFF: A school board must affect policy and governance that will ensure a collaborative, safe and positive working environment for all teachers and staff. When teachers and staff have the tools and support they need, the outcome is improved academic achievement.
- TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY: A school board must affect policy and governance that will ensure the trust of our community. Whether you are a parent of a student(s) in the district, or a taxpayer, your trust must be one of the school board's top priorities.
Working TOGETHER we will make PLSAS the leading school district in Minnesota.
