Born in Rochester, MN, I was adopted at the age of 5 weeks old by my devoted parents. I am the third youngest of four siblings. I grew up in Lydia, about 5 miles south of Prior Lake where my parents still live today.
I attended K-12 at Jordan public schools, and graduated in a class of 62 students. I went off to Mankato State University with the intention of becoming a CPA. In March of 1993, I was involved in a fatal car accident that changed my outlook and my plans; it gave me a deeper appreciation and love for life. After a long period of recovery, I earned my degree in accounting and business administration. In 2020 I completed a two year internship through River Valley's Leadership Institute.
After over 10 years working in accounting and business administration, I was able to move from the workforce and stay at home with our wonderful boys. My entrepreneurial spirit and love for a good challenge led me to building two home-based businesses. Later, I went on to work as a paraprofessional at Hidden Oaks Middle School, and then as Campus Administrator of River Valley Church in Shakopee. Currently, I am working my treasured positions; managing our home, supporting my husband and our two businesses, and training up our two boys.
- I purchased my first house at the age of 22.
- I know how to butcher chickens.
- I earned my blackbelt in taekwondo in 2020.
I believe “teamwork makes the dream work”, and "communication is the key to success". I hold three philosophies for a fulfilling life:
- Victim or victor? The choice is mine.
- I am responsible for everything in my life – including the way I feel.
- Enjoy the journey!
My marriage, and being a mom to our two amazing boys.
